Movie Quality Meet Cute We loved getting to know this adorable couple when we made a personalized game for them this Valentine’s Day! Brittany and Mark have been together since high school, and their meet-cute sounds like it’s straight out of a rom-com. Brittany was looking for a date for her junior prom so she enlisted the help of her trustworthy cousin, Gregg. Gregg and Brittany are the same age but he went to a neighboring school, and let’s be real, boys at other schools are always more intriguing than boys at your own school! (I still cringe when I think of making my poor parents drive me 3.5 hours so that Cassie and I could go to the Christmas formal of guys we met at leadership camp…they ended up ignoring us and talking to girls at their own school the entire time.) Gregg introduced Brittany to Mark and the two met the day before the prom to discuss logistics, and their first official date was at the prom on April 26th, 2008. Not many people can say that their prom was so memorable! Ferris Wheels are Kinda Their Thing With such an adorable meet-cute, we knew these two would have a magical proposal story and they certainly did not disappoint! Mark and Brittany were riding a Ferris wheel on the boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland. Despite being so high in the air and being (understandably) scared, Mark got down on one knee and proposed! I am terrified of heights so even thinking about this makes me anxious, but studies have shown that couples who have adventurous experiences together are happier, so clearly these two are doing it right. To make their love story even more perfect, they were married on April 26th, 2014 - six years to the day of their first date at the prom. Okay, a screenwriter better be getting on this because I want to see Brittany and Mark’s story on the big screen!
A Life of Adventure, Fur Babies, and Best Friendship Mark and Brittany have been together for 11 years now and have truly grown up together. They love experiencing new things together and have traveled to France, Panama, and are going to France and Greece this summer. They make their everyday lives fun by spending time with their fur babies, talking in high pitched voices to pretend that their cats are speaking to them (I LOVE this!), and using acronyms in text messages that only they understand. These two have such a special bond. As Brittany said, "Mark inspires me not to worry about what other people think. He lives life according to our terms and he makes me want to be a better person always.” We are grateful that we were able to be a small part in the story of this couple and if Hollywood producers know what’s good for them, we will be seeing a film of this love story by 2022.
