Memorial Day 2023 is fast approaching. On Monday, May 29th, Memorial Day will be observed and we will honor the members of the U.S. military who have died while bravely serving our country in the armed forces. It is a day to reflect and remember, and even though it was unofficially observed for years before, it was declared a federal holiday in 1971. Since many people have off of work for the holiday, it is thought of as the unofficial kick-off of the summer.
Since Memorial Day is a long weekend, many people use it as an opportunity to take a trip and spend quality time with their family or friends.
