What happens in Mexico when you're Bundling does not need to stay in Mexico if you're having so much fun that you can't wait to talk about it when you return home. That's the new rule we are working with here at Bundle because after after not traveling for over a year, we were ready to have some adventures. Two friends rented a house in Mexico and invited their family and friends to spend the week there with them, and many of us did not know each other or hadn't seen each other in quite some time. Although we knew it would be a ton of fun we also were aware that getting back out there socially can be a bit of a challenge, especially if we are getting introduced to new people. What is the answer to this challenge? Tequila? (I mean, when in Mexico, but we really didn't want to end up with hangovers.) We decided that we would make a custom board game to act as the non-hangover option to get everyone chatting with each other, sharing funny stories about themselves, and completing hilarious challenges.
Yes, it is a proven fact that dad jokes get funnier after a margarita (or maybe two). Before the trip, we had everyone attending fill out our Bundle Blueprint so that we could personalize the game and make it all about them. It was fun to have a bit of an inside scoop about people before meeting them in real life, but what was unexpected was that even for people who knew each other, so many of the answers were surprising - it even seemed like some people shocked themselves with their answers. (Never underestimate the power of a good Bundle.) After a long day of physical activities - boating, jet skiing, and surfing - everyone was really excited to cozy up at night for a little board game action. Also, in the interest of full disclosure, "a long day of physical activities" for some of us meant laying by the pool and napping.
Next year we are hoping to be invited back to Mexico again (we think we behaved ourselves enough and who doesn't love when someone shows up with a board game?). We have so many new memories to include from this trip for our Mexico expansion pack and are looking forward to sharing in the fun with everyone from this year's trip and the new people we will get to meet next year.
