Books & Bundle

We are avid readers and that was actively encouraged by our parents when we were growing up. We would frequent our local library and were big fans of the Pizza Hut Book It Program. (That also could have had something to do with the free personal pan pizza we received each month, but it definitely helped foster the love of reading.) On Thursday, March 2nd, it National Read Across American Day and we are going to celebrate Bundle style.

March 2nd is the birthday of Dr. Seuss so it's an ideal day to celebrate Read Across America Day. Read Across America is an initiative in reading created by the National Education Association. This special day encourages children to celebrate reading and to read wherever they are.

There are many fun ways to celebrate National Read Across America Day. You can attend a book reading, read a favorite book out loud to a child, or find a local book fair. If you have a favorite genre of books that you usually read, pick something outside of your usual comfort zone.

Books and board games are an ideal combination! There are both perfect rainy day activities and bring us so much joy. If you have a big book fan in your life, you can make a custom board game all about your loved one's favorite literary experiences.

Bundle Book cards can include: "Name 4 of your favorite books of all time." or a Challenge card that reads "What literary character is the most like you and why?"

We hope that you can have a great day cuddled up with your favorite book. As Dr. Seuss said, "You're off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting...So, get on your way!"
