Fall is officially here and we are ready to break out our pleather and jean jackets for some cooler weather activities and coziness. At Bundle, we celebrate every season, but we will admit that our wardrobes to thrive in sweater weather. We've come up with a list of 10 Fun Fall Activities that we love, and we hope you will, too!
Get Your Witchy Vibes Going
Yes, that's right. We have witches hats and feather boas and wigs. Don't judge. (Or do...because it is pretty hilarious.) You don't need all of this attire to get your witchy vibes on this fall. You can also channel the power of three by watching your favorite episode of Charmed. Might we recommend the episode "The Good, The Bad, and the Cursed" when the witches are stuck in a time loop and their dad gets REALLY MAD when he finds out Leo is a whitelighter. Yeah, there's some heavy drama there. You can also binge watch Good Witch - the final season aired this past year on Hallmark Channel and is probably their best one yet. Or get yourself an entire witch's costume and a familiar (you know we always welcome furry friends here at Bundle) and take lots of photos.
Drink a Pumpkin Spice Latte
Sure, maybe it's cheugy (or is it basic? Gen Z - help us- we are still trying to figure this out along with our middle parts and non straight leg jeans) but a delicious pumpkin spice latte can really set the day off on a sweet note. Whether you get yours from Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, an awesome independent coffee shop or make your own at home (extra points!) it definitely signals that fall is here and we can immerse ourselves fully in everything it has to offer.
Put Together the Perfect Halloween Costume
We have had lots of interesting Halloween costumes over the years. They are all over our Instagram @thebundlegame and on some of our blogs. We've dressed as saints (we went to a Catholic school), Golden Girls, nurses, and one year Cassie went as the Phoenix Suns mascot and Jackie was a Playboy bunny. (Jackie was only 9 years old at the time and didn't fully understand the concept but really wanted to wear her black ballet leotard and bunny ears so she came up with that concept on her own.) We would love to hear about your favorite Halloween costumes over the years and what you're planning on dressing up as this year! Are you a make your own costume kind of person? Rent? Buy? Borrow? Throw on cat ears and call it a day? We love celebrations and want to hear all about your fun Halloween traditions.
Re-Watch Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Come on, you know you miss attending your weekly meeting of the Midnight Society. Some episodes were truly terrifying (at least at the time?) and we wonder what it will be like to revisit them as adults. If you've already embarked on this adventure or have a favorite let us know so we can can compile a list for our watch party.
Re-Visit Goosebumps
R.L. Stine knew what he was doing with the Goosebumps series, which definitely was (and continues to be) a cultural phenomenon. How many times did you run your fingers over the glorious texture of those covers? This is also something that we celebrate in Bundle: 90s Edition if you want to feel all the nostalgic vibes.
Apple Picking
An apple a day keeps the doctor away is the old adage, so since you'll be eating lots of Halloween candy and drinking pumpkin spice lattes, might as well add a little natural sweetness to the mix by going apple picking. Put on your cutest fall hat, cozy sweater, boots, and live your best fall life. We are not apple connoisseurs by any means (genuinely think it was high school before we knew green apples existed) so let us know your favorites and where you like to go apple picking. It's also one of those activities that really makes you feel like you're thriving in a new season and having all of the experiences. "What did you do this weekend?" "Me? I went apple picking!" That is someone who knows how to get their fall on.
Go to a Haunted House
Growing up in Central Pennsylvania, we had a local haunted house that was terrifying. While we can't be sure if it was the stuff of urban legends, apparently the chain saws were actual chain saws with the blade part removed, but one time someone snuck on site with an actual chain saw. To be fair, now that we are saying this, it seems highly unlikely that it actually happened. Anyway, it definitely got the adrenaline pumping.
Hay Ride
Put on your flannel shirt, grab some apple cider and popcorn, and get cozy on a hay ride. Haunted hay rides are also an option, but as mentioned in the haunted house portion of our favorite fall activities list, they definitely get the adrenaline going. If you want an activity you can do with your kids (or someone else's - they're fun to borrow!) a non-haunted hay ride is a great option.
